Bream and Tench We are very lucky today to have some state-of-the-art rods available for targeting Bream and Tench I've
built and tried most, I have short-listed
the best below, and these are the rods I
would use. I do however build the full range from Harrison, and FreeSpirit, so if you have a model you want, just telephone me.

| Maximum power Tench and
Bream Fishing. Century and I worked together to
come up with the 12'6'' AK47 Power Tench. This Tench and Bream rod
had to be able to hit, whatever type of rig, to the
horizon if needed - but also to have an action that made
playing a joy. A carp rod was not an option, nor was a
standard specialist rod. Something in-between was needed.
We ended up with a model, using the fantastic AK47 layup,
that fulfilled the requirement and more. I use these rods
for buzzer style fishing from the margin to maximum
distance and I mean maximum distance. There isn't any
Tench, Bream type rod out there that will out cast these
rods and still play so well. There are a full range of handle options available to be built on this rod. See the Handle Options page. Ring Options ---- 25/20/16/12/10/8/8tip The blank colour is graphite grey with a matt varnish, but you do have ring whipping colour options - after all it is custom built. The 12'6'' AK47 Power TenchTC starts at £210.00, which is great value, as I buy the blanks in batches and Century kindly gives me a very good price. This price includes the handle options, colour options, a cloth rod bag, and any personal little bits, such as rod numbering, monograms, etc. The only extra to pay for on the rod is the upgrade ring option if you choose them. These prices are on the ring option page. Instock ready to build. Delivery in 2 weeks. Lightweight
Tench and Bream Fishing. If you are fishing margin
to close range, say up to 40 yds, then the Torrix
12' 1.25 TC with multi-tip options is the rod
to use. Because of the various tip options, you can use
this rod on the quiver or on buzzers. Even with a float.
I can't sing the prasies of this rod enough, I love mine. Float
Fishing. The lift method or for laying-on
with a waggler near lillies for Tench. Great! For
punching out a polaris float to the groundbaited area in
hope for a slab. Wondeful!. Any style of stillwater,
specialist float fishing is a real pleasure when you are
using the Torrix
12' 1.25 TC Specialist Float. This 2pc very light rod
has considerable power when needed. I use this rod with
double strength line from 0.18mm upwards. |
