I custom build carp rods

of carp rods available is quite huge and can be hard to
know what to go for. If in doubt, just text / call me and
I will advise. The most popular length of carp rod to be custom built is 12' and out sells 12'6 and 13' models many many times over. Carp rod test curves range from 2.50lbs for a light weight pond rod up to 3.75lbs for a real big hitter. 2.75lbs is a popular test curve for a light weight all-round carp rod which is good for casting about 2.5oz leads from the margin to 100+ yds. 3.25lbs and 3.50lbs are popular test curves for a powerful all-round carp rod which is good for casting about 3oz to 4oz leads from the margin to as far as you're capable. Actions of carp rods varies and some models are better suited to others to hitting a lead to the horizon if that's your thing.
