Barbel Trotters. Small, medium and large

Hand made by myself applying the best construction techniques taught to me by my good mate and master float maker Andy Field.
These Barbel Trotters are made to be fished with.
The balsa body is stained honey colour and finished with a bright Yellow shoulder and fluro Orange sight tip.
The cane stem is stained brick red and whipped in Chestnut brown. Tipped with black line bands and signed then varnished to a full finish.
A labour of love.

Approximately 135mm long and takes 3g as a bulk loading and extra dropper shots.
Perfect for small baits and a light approach.

Approximately 165mm long and takes about 5g as a bulk loading and extra dropper shots.
Great when using bigger baits in deep water and where greater control is needed,.

Approximately 190mm long and takes 8g as a bulk loading.
A big Barbel Trotters. Work fantastic in heavy conditions that would normal sink a lesser float.
I use mine in weir pools, turbulent water and for holding back with luncheon meat banging along the gravel in shallowish fast water. Great technique when the conditions are right.
