Back a good few years ago I did some advisory work ( and it got pretty hands on at times ) with a bait company, working on the systems of how to make a customised boilie with a minimum order of 1kg as effectively and speedily as possible.
Well I wanted to re-visit this custom boilie making for sometime but for myself, so as of 2024 I'm now making HNV custom baits with long standing very effective fishmeal and cereal base mixes.
Both these base mixes are made with recipes that have been fished with by thousands of anglers over many years catching from all venues. These are not new base mixes, they have thousands upon thousands of captures under the belt. That's the HNV "food" part done, your part is to select the colour and flavour attractors to make your own personal Custom Boilies and Hook Baits.

HOW ABOUT THIS FOR A POTENTIAL EDGE!
Fish with all 3 colours of boilie flavoured the same (as you can order as little as 1kg of each).
This gives that "buffet" style look on the lake bed but just using boilies, and as the smell attraction is the same and most likely individual to you (custom boilies after all) you're creating a potentially new situation reducing colour preference.
Fish all rods on the spot with different colours and see which one they prefer if any.
